A client asked me this question at the end of session and I ommediately replied, "Another Country, no Tell Me How Long The Train's Been Gone." I still pondering as to which one, but James Baldwin is going to top the list.
Both novels inspired me to write because they told stories about Black people lives and experiences that taught me a lot about American society. What makes the novels so outstanding is that the same issues in the 21st century as still as potent and political as they were when Baldwin wrote these books in the 1960s. Thank you for asking the question Caroline.
